Karuzo

Karuzo’s life used to be pretty ideal. His parents both loved him, and his father was a high ranking jounin known for his excellent use of puppets. Karuzo used to watch his father as he created and trained with his puppets, and has a lot of knowledge about puppetry.

His ideal life came to an end when his father got killed. The father, Watari Kumaru, turned out to be a member of a small group trying to overthrow the Kazekage because they didn’t agree with his ideals.
The Kazekage managed to fend off the attack and, with the help of the anbu, kill all the members of the group, including Kumaru. Many shinobi allied with the Kazekage died in the fight, however, and many people from Suna still held a grudge against any family linked to the gang. Thus Karuzo had to endure bullying, both on the streets and in school. To make matters worse, his mother, who loved her husband more than anything, committed suicide, leaving Karuzo to fend for himself. It was at that moment that he started focusing on his shinobi progress more than anything, using it as an escape route to forget about his pain.

Karuzo became a determined shinobi, wanting to become a powerful puppet user that would do good for the village and cleanse his family name. When he was 19 he became a jounin, and he got placed in a small two-man cell together with Kyoko, a beautiful kunoichi. The two got along well, and soon they became lovers.

Two years later, while on a mission, the two were ambushed by a big band of missing-nin. The two fought for their lives, but they were hopelessly outnumbered. The two were almost defeated, when Kyoko offered to sacrifice herself so Karuzo could live on. Before Karuzo could agree, Kyoko used a powerful Water-jutsu to wash Karuzo away from the fight, and then lured the rogues away. Only after searching all night long he would find his lover dead, mangled and raped. He burst out in tears and held her, placing his head on her stomach. It was then that he realized Kyoko was pregnant, and their child was also dead.

This led Karuzo to become the cold and distant individual he is today. He started to believe that humans are weak, fragile beings. This theory is based upon the idea that the ability to love and care for each other is humanity’s greatest virtue. If this was true, why had he seen people do the most terrible and stupid things out of love. Be it love for a village, or love for a person, love was only an obstacle and a weakness, clouding the person from better judgement.

It was only a few months after the incident that he started thinking about leaving his village. His new goal was to become something greater then a human, but at the same time he knew that his village would not be able to provide him with the means to reach that goal.

Karuzo participated in the sand’s attack on konoha during the chuunin exams. During the invasion, he was able to catch glimpses of Orochimaru’s fight with the Hokage. Impressed by the S-ranked criminals knowledge of forbidden jutsu, he hoped that this man would be able to provide him with a way to become something better then a human. When the fight was over, he tracked Orochimaru back to his lair and offered the sannin his service in exchange for knowledge and power.

Orochimaru accepted his offer, and upon learning of the man’s goal and seeing his affinity with puppets, he told Karuzo of Sasori, his former Akatsuki partner, that had the ability to create puppets from human corpses and even turned his own body into a puppet. Karuzo quickly came to covet this ability, and learning and mastering it has become his new priority. He still serves Orochimaru, and hopes that, since Orochimaru is Akatsuki’s enemy, he will once face Sasori in battle and observe the technique.

Name: Kumo (Spider)
Appearance:
A puppet with the body of a human, short blond hair and six arms. Wears a black traveling cloak. Is covered in poisoned spikes.
Special Abilities/Characteristics: This six armed puppet is Karuzo’s solution to Taijutsu users. In its mouth it has a small cannon capable of firing poison mist and senbon. Its six arms all end in short swords, and in its body is covered in deadly poison spikes.


Name: Inoshishi (Boar)
Appearance:
A puppet with the body of a fat,broad and tall human and the head of a boar. Special Abilities/Characteristics: Boar is a more defensive puppet. Aside from a cannon in its mouth firing poison mist and senbon, Boar is reinforced with iron plates, making it much more durable then other puppets. It also has air vents in its arms like Zaku, making it able to use Decapitating Air Waves and Extreme Decapitating Air Waves.



Name: Manmosu (Mammoth)
Appearance:
A puppet with a broad, short body. It has a humans head, but only has one eye. This puppet is named “Mammoth” for the destruction it can deal with its attached mechanical arm.
Special Abilities/Characteristics: Mammoth has a huge mechanical arm instead of a normal right arm, enabling it to use Crimson Wetland. With its other hand, it can create a Chakra Shield to deflect enemy attacks.


Name: Washi (Eagle)
Appearance:
A puppet with a normal womans body, aside from two wings made out of iron feathers.
Special Abilities/Characteristics: Karuzo’s long range puppet, Eagle can fire the iron feathers of its wings at the enemy. The feathers are sharp like blades. Some of the feathers have explosive tags attached to them. By channeling more chakra into the puppet through the chakra threads, Karuzo can make Eagle launch bullets of his own chakra at the enemy. He can either use small but rapid bullets, resulting in something that resembles machinegun fire, or one bigger, aimed bullet that does a lot of damage and is very hard to dodge. This resembles a sniper shot.

Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.

Fuuin Bakuha - Exploding Seal

This jutsu allows the individual to place and activate exploding seals on a weapon. All shinobi train this jutsu in the academy making it a universal technique in the ninja world. The shinobi applies chakra to the seal, typically at the last minute before releasing the weapon or seal. The amount of chakra added determines the speed with which the seal explodes. Even the maximum amount of chakra (an immediate explosion) is still a low quantity. Once the seal is activated, it burns much like a fuse. When the fuse ends, the seal explodes.
Note: The typical exploding seal damages about a 2 meter radius. Naturally the closer to the source of the explosion, the more damage you're likely to face.

Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to tranform themself into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.

Kawarimi no Jutsu - Change of Body Stance Technique

Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.
Note: This jutsu is not an escape-all skill that a character may use. It must be performed in situations where your character has time to anticipate an oncoming attack and likewise perform the needed handseals for a stance swap. It should also be noted that this jutsu is not something that allows you to swap with random logs in the field. Be reasonable. If you plant items ahead of time, great. But if you're in the middle of a desert and you swap with a log, I'm going to punch you in your shit.

Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

Katon • Goukakyuu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. The ninja does the necessary hand seals, draws chakra from their mouth into their chest and them immediately exhales it. They then blow a stream of fire which erupts into a large sphere of flames. To better manage the flames the ninja will bring their hand to their mouth to control it.
Katon jutsu such as this are seen as a rite of passage into adulthood for Uchiha clan members. Once the member can manipulate fire, they are finally recognized as no longer being a child.

Ninpou: Shicchi Kurenai is a Ninjutsu technique used by Shinobazu member Doki. Doki wields a large mechanical hand on his right arm. Because the hand can rotate, it can be used as a powerful drill. This drill can be used to cut through nearby earth or those unfortunate enough to be in the way.
Note: Obviously the length and range of the jutsu is limited by the chain expressed in character inventory.

Chakra no Tate - Chakra Shield

Chakra no Tate is a Ninjutsu technique used by puppet masters. This shield is created when chakra is emited in the form of a disk from panels which fan out from the puppet arms. This chakra can block many deadly attacks but some attacks, such as Satetsu can gum up the puppet joints and render the arms useless.

Fukumi Hari - Hidden Needles

Fukumi Hari is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by Shizune. Shizune is able to call forth needles into her mouth and then spit them at her opponent with great accuracy.

Zankuuha - Decapitating Air Waves

Zankuuha is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sound ninja Zaku Abumi. Using the air vents installed in his arms, Zaku can control supersonic waves and air pressure. The Zankuuha creates a massive gust of wind which he can blast at an opponent. The gust is so strong it can even break rock.
Note: Requires air vents comparable to the ones Zaku used installed into the character's arms.

Zankyokukuuha - Extreme Decapitating Air Waves

Zankyokukuuha is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sound ninja Zaku Abumi. This technique is a variation of the Zankuuhaa. Like the Zankuuha, Zaku creates a large gust of air pressure from the vents in his arms. This technique is the ultimate version of the lesser technique, it creates a massive gust of wind capable of totally wiping out his target and the surrounding area.
Note: Requires air vents comparable to the ones Zaku used installed into the character's arms.

It was already late at night, and the village the sound-nin had raided was only a few houses away from being totally burned to the ground. The remaining survivors were being loaded into the cage that stood upon the wagon. Orochimaru’s orders were clear. Take as much people to the closest hideout and erase all evidence of the small village even existing. Easy enough.

Karuzo looked at the rabble that started to fill the cage. Men, women, children. Some were angrily shouting at the sound-nin that they would not get away with this. Some were crying. Some had simply accepted their fate and remained silent. Most of the children would seek comfort with their mother. Karuzo, who had been placed in charge of this mission, couldn’t help but wonder what those mothers would do. Would they lie to their sons and daughters, giving them some empty promise like “everything will be alright”? Probably. The puppeteer looked at the people without any interest whatsoever. They were just humans. Just little humans living their little meaningless lives never achieving any form of greatness. Just like ants, really. Soon they would arrive at the hideout, and as soon as Orochimaru himself would arrive these people would serve as his test subjects.

Karuzo looked at the sky. It was pitch black. All the people were loaded in the cage. It was time to go. “Wrap it up. We are heading back!”, he shouted at his companions. A mutual nod, and the band of ninja left, two big, dimwitted looking men pulling the cart behind them.
